end of summer (cooper) « Thread Started on Oct 30, 2009, 7:40pm »
Its the end of the summer, Its the end of it all Those days are gone its over now were moving on
School was now in session. The end of summer signified that it was time to pack your bag and get ready for another grooling school semester. This year Macey was a Junior meaning just two more years to go through before she got out. Honestly though, she really didn't mind school, Macey had a tight knit group of friends that she mostly only got to see during school due their busy scedules but she didn't just talk to her friends because Mace was a bit of a drifter. Knew most of the Junior class by name and either talked to them on school or facebook. There where exceptions to the rules, of course, not everyone in this world is uber friendly.. But that was highschool. What else did you expect? Macey was mostly glad to get back to school due to the fact she craved some normality. Over the holidays she found out she was adopted, but not only that, she had a famous Irish twin sister.. Disney Princess, Klara White. She didn't know how much information any of her peers knew, but she hoped to have a normal day. Wandering up the crowded halls of the familur highschool it seemed near impossible.. Macey couldn't help but feel that everyone knew by the way people where looking at her- well, she didn't know if they were but she felt like they were staring holes in her back. Maybe it was the Mitchel Musso tshirt she was wearing. As a stupid thing amoung friends her group decided to come to school wearing kiddie t-shirts; Power Rangers, Care Bears, Ninja Turtles, Blues Clues, Hannah Montana.. that kind of thing. Macey 'shotgun' a Mitchel Musso t-shirt which she wished she hadn't because of her current Disney 'parent trap' incident. Wandering over to her locker she opened it and slipped in her knew school books. Leaning on the locker next to hers she peered around to see if there was anyone she knew lingering around. Uncomfortabley she tugged at her outfit just searching for a familur face.

Was it odd to say that Cooper hadn't been dreading the new school year at all? It seemed like usually, the last few days of summer were spent with kids freaking out, running to do last-minute shopping, and just complaining in general. Surprisingly, Cooper wasn't really one of those kids. It wasn't that he was someone who particularly enjoyed school, he just always found the beginning of the new year to be something to look forward to. It was the first time you'd see all your friends at once, people who were on vacation were back, and it was a good time to catch up. The homework? Not really appealing, but you didn't get much for the first few days anyways. Waking up early? Not so great either. But overall, school didn't bother him all that much. If it wasn't for the homework and the early rising, it wouldn't be that bad at all.
It was nice to get back into a routine, though. For the most part, this summer had been pretty uneventful for Cooper. Carson was on tour for most of it, and Cooper went along on the bus for a couple weeks. It was a lot of fun, but that was pretty much the only thing Cooper had done this summer. The rest had been spent sitting inside, wondering what to do with all this free time. He was one of those kids who, if he didn't have a routine, he'd get bored because he could never come up with anything to do. It didn't make much sense, of course, seeing as once they really got into school, he'd be wishing it was summer again. Cooper couldn't believe that it was already grade eleven. It hadn't sunk in that this was the second last year of school. Before college, that is. But this would be the year when your grades actually started to count. It was such a weird thought.
He got to school on time, checked the paper he had that had his locker number on it, and found the right hallway. He was a little distracted, so he didn't even notice the girl a couple lockers down from his until he had already finished loading some of his binders into it. He shut the door, turned, and was about to walk around to try to track down one of his friends, but then he saw her. "Macey! Hey," he said, smiling a little awkwardly at her. He wouldn't say he was that good of friends with her, but they had talked a few times since over the summer.

Macey frowned gently watching as the legions of teenagers strolled past and although a few faces poked out, none stuck, there was nobody that she wanted to hang out with at this point in time. Letting out a gentle sigh she turned back to her locker which was still open. Absent mindedly she fiddled with her books, alphabetizing it, she wasn't Obessive Compolsive, however she was bored and thats that she did when she was bored... she organized. It was a good way to keep busy and look like your doing something worth wild. Which by the blank expression on her face it was obvious she wasn't at all fussed about this, nor did she find some kind of sick enjoyment out of it... it was simply a time filler.
Buzz, buzz. Her sidekick buzzed happily in her pocket and she fumbled it out of her jean pockets. It was the first time it had been put on silent in almost a month, since that was the last time she had gone to the movies. Most of the summer 'CHOKECHAIN' by 3OH!3 had been blasting loudly everytime someone felt like texting her, or if there was an occasional call Ashton Lenox's new song would belt out, they weren't too famous by by god did they have some catchy songs. Now, of course, it was back to the 'bee ringtone' aka buzzing. Speeding easily over the buttons of the keypad she replied to the message without second thought, it was the way teenagers were going these days. They thought less and less, and text more and more. The Future of America were hopeless without technology. <3
Waiting for her text message to send, she bit down on her lip gently, before hearing a familur voice call out to her. Her head popped up causing her dark brown hair to shift towards the front of her face. Tucking it back behind her ear, she shoved her phone back into her jean pocket and smiled over at the face full of boyish charm that belonged to Cooper Reyonlds. "Coop, hey!" Lightly smacking her locker casually shut, she strolled over to him and embraced him in a half-hearted hug. Maybe it was odd because even if they had talked over the summer they weren't overly close, but Macey was an affectionate hugger and she was pretty sure everyone knew that- or they soon found out. "Excited to be back at school?" Macey asked, with a twinge of a cheeky smile, it was obvious most people weren't happy to be back and she knew Coop was one of them.

Cooper's thoughts, wandering as usual, lead him to think of the weird situation Macey was in right now. The whole thing about her having a secret long-lost twin, separated at birth, and said twin just so happened to be a newly famous TV star. It was like something straight out of the Parent Trap, with the added element of Klara's fame. Cooper couldn't even fathom what that must be like for Macey, or Klara. The only thing remotely close to that that Cooper could relate with was the fact that he, too, had a famous silbing - but Cooper had long been used to that. Carson was a very well-known musician and had been for a few years now, so Cooper was used to the recognition. Sometimes it got annoying though, because he never knew if people were only approaching him because they wanted to meet Carson. He couldn't imagine what things were like for Macey, though. The twins looked the exact same, as far as he knew, so she must get people approaching her all the time, mistaking her for her sister and asking for autographs.
Cooper slid his hands into his jeans pockets and smiled a bit at her when she shut her locker and walked over to him. The hug caught him a little off guard, but after a second he pulled his hands back out and hugged her back. He let out a chuckle at her question, and shrugged his shoulders. "Not really. Well, the first few days aren't that bad but... after that, I guess I'm not looking forward to it," he answered, shrugging again. "You? And how was your summer? I mean, besides the obvious..." he added, figuring the thing that would stick out most in her mind about this past summer would be the whole twin situation. Cooper realized he was still holding the sheet with his locker information, and his class schedule on it, so he folded it up and shoved it into his pocket. It made him wonder a bit if he had any classes with Macey, but maybe he'd ask her later, after they caught up a bit.

The whole thing was kind of out of hand. Macey wasn't used to being crowded by so many people, and once she actually started trying to get to know her twin sister the masses grew and grew. It was insane.. completely insane and how celebrities did it.. well she will never know. Luckily, despite her ambitions to become famous, Macey wanted to direct and directors didn't usually get this much attention unless they were insanely famous but they somehow managed to keep their privacy. Klara was just starting off in the states and wasn't swarmed by paparazzi yet, but she was talented and Macey knew she was going to be. Klara White was an up-in-comer and everyone kept a close eye on her.. which was kind of a pain in the ass and a horrible time to discover she had a twin sister.. same with Macey, school seemed more unbearable than usual. The constant wishing for normalicy was overshadowed.. but despite all this something comforted her.. she had a sister- that was kind of amazing.
"After you hear all the summer stories, you kind of get bored, do you Coop?" she chuckled lightly, it was sort of a rhetorical question but one that could be answered if wanted. When he mentioned the whole 'obvious' part of her summer Macey frowned a little. Most people were avoiding it, which was good, she guessed but bringing it up just kind of annoyed her. Finding out you had a long lost twin was something you hoped to do in private and not let the whole world know. But her face soften a little, she guessed Cooper knew how she felt. Having a huge rock star brother mustn’t have helped when he was going through rough times and half the rumours they posted about his brother.. she smiled knowing that she wasn't alone at school. Cooper knew, well at least had an idea of, what she was going through. "For the most part great. Klara is great, I spent most of my holidays with her, although I guess that is obvious. I guess I'm going to have to think of a cover story, right? For when they ask in class.. so I'm not bombarded with questions.." Sighing gently, she frowned and glanced over at Cooper, her face softening. "Can I ask you a personal question? You don't have to answer, but how do you deal with it? The bombardment of questions about that special someone your related to, that someone who happens to be famous?"
